Congressional Art Competition, the Vermont Arts Council, the Vermont
and New England Drama Festivals, and the Vermont Legislature. In
sports U-32’s Raiders consistently perform well, winning division
titles in a variety of events.
As a scholastic institution, U-32 models excellence, and in turn
anticipates excellence from students. A college-like system of elective
courses offers students variety and focus while promoting individual
responsibility and decision-making. This is enhanced by U-32’s
unique Teacher Advisor (TA) system which links each student with
a faculty member who will act as advisor and advocate for the student
during their six-year tenure.
In 2002 U-32 completed a $13 million renovation with state-of-the-art
science, computer, and photography labs; pottery, jewelry, metal,
and wood shops; a modern library; a superb theater; and improved
and expanded indoor and outdoor athletic facilities.
U-32 believes in strong community ties and encourages student engagement
in the community. The staff and administration invite the community
into the school for community education, sports events, art shows,
concerts and performances.
